Prosthodontics is the dental specialty dedicated to aesthetic, reconstructive, and implant dentistry. A Prosthodontist has three years of additional training beyond that of General Dentists in areas of cosmetic and restorative dentistry. Teeth can require restorative treatment due to several factors including tooth decay, wear, erosion, fractures, misalignment and discolouration. Restorative treatment to correct these concerns can be dental fillings, veneers and crowns. Missing teeth can be restored with dental bridge restorations, dental implants and full/partial dentures.Personalized Treatment Plans
Your dental needs are as individual as you are. We understand that it’s essential to create a treatment plan that works for your lifestyle and clinical concerns. We provide an array of restorative options. This means the most effective treatment for you, with long-lasting results, and a beautiful smile.Patients are Our Priority
We strive to provide you with an experience that is beyond your expectations, where you are comfortable, making educated treatment decisions, and leaving with a beautiful, healthy smile. At South Edmonton Prosthodontics, our goal is to correct your dental issues and work collaboratively with your General Dentist.Slide left & right to see the before & after photos

Dental Implants
A natural tooth consists of a root and a crown. If you compare natural teeth to implant-supported replacement teeth, you’ll see they have the same basic parts. Both have a crown (the visible part used to chew food). Both have a root that holds the tooth securely under the gum and is anchored into the jaw. The difference is that the implant is made of titanium – the same time-tested material used by surgeons for artificial joints.
Full Mouth Reconstruction
Full mouth reconstruction refers to the process of completely restoring all of the teeth in your mouth. Full mouth reconstruction, unlike a “smile makeover,” is a necessary series of procedures, rather than an elective surgery. Full mouth reconstruction is needed when:
teeth have been lost
teeth have been injured or fractured
teeth have become severely worn
jaw pain is present due to bite problems
All-on-4 Implant Denture
Using only four implants, All-on-4® treatment concept makes the best use of your available jawbone to provide you a fully functional set of new teeth. By angling the rear two implants, your new teeth will be securely supported for many years of smiling and eating enjoyment. As well as being economical, the All-on-4® treatment concept is backed by many years of study and use, proving its effectiveness.
Trefoil Implant System
The Trefoil system offers a high-quality, efficient, fixed solution for more edentulous patients and patients with failing dentition.
Fixed Implant-Supported Prosthesis
A fixed prosthesis is a revolutionary concept providing patients with fully functioning teeth on dental implants. For patients that are missing all of their teeth on one arch or are having all of the teeth removed on one arch, this is the most ideal restorative treatment option.
The advantages of a fixed prosthesis are:
greater stability
less bulky – no palate coverage
improved chewing ability
Dental Crowns & Bridges
Most dentistry looks like dentistry. Our goal is to provide dentistry that is undetectable.
Crowns and bridges are an extremely reliable treatment option that offer your a long-lasting, natural looking result for correction of major dental problems.
Most commonly, we recommend crowns and bridges for the following reasons:
replace existing crowns or fillings
replace missing teeth to give you a complete smile and a functional bite
It is usual for these treatments to last for 20 to 30 years, which is as close to permanent as dental treatment can get.
Dental Implant Crowns
After your implants have been placed and adequately healed you will have them restored with either a crown, bridge, or denture. Implant restorations are very reliable, natural-looking, easy to maintain, and long-lasting.
Dentures
A denture or a complete denture as it is often called, is an appliance that is inserted in the mouth, replaces natural teeth and provides support for the cheeks and lips.
Most often, because the dentures are no anchored in place, they are painful, inconvenient and unstable. This can make chewing foods difficult, limiting the foods that you once enjoyed.
By having as few as 2-4 implants placed you can greatly improve your dentures function and retention.
Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain veneers are an ideal choice for improving your smile and have become increasingly popular due to their simplicity and versatility. Placing custom veneers requires a high degree of technical skill as well as attention to cosmetic detail. At South Edmonton Prosthodontics we place veneers routinely and design each case individually to match and enhance the characteristics of your smile.
Technology & Equipment
We constantly bring in new technology and equipment to provide ever better service and treatment to our patients. The new digital technologies and equipment allows to bring our prosthodontics to the next level.
